How does your donation help?

NGO Estonian Forest Aid (MTÜ Eesti Metsa Abiks) aims to protect forests that are important to our people, which is the cornerstone of nature conservation. The NGO points out that there is excessive logging in Estonian forests, which is unsustainable, and that the logging activities undertaken over the past 20 years have been motivated mostly by economic aspects.

As a result of the excessive logging, Estonian forests are becoming younger rapidly, which leads to a decrease in biodiversity or even extinction of certain species. Many Estonians can see their beloved forests, where they are used to going mushrooming and berry picking, disappearing. The mission of Estonian Forest Aid is to find a balance between forest management and nature conservation. 

Your permanent support is very important, as it helps us continue activities that ensure the preservation of the local natural environment for our children and grandchildren and, above all, preserve the natural environment for you as well. 

Donations are used to finance the salaries of specialists, nature conservation litigation, expertise and the production and distribution of various information materials.

The organization is included on the list of income tax incentive non-profit organizations.
