Võru animal shelter is currently home to a dog named Bim, or perhaps Bims, because this gentleman is Latvian. How so?
The story of this stray's road to Võru animal shelter is quite mysterious. When checking for a microchip, shelter workers found one registered in Latvia, but no other information could be traced. When, why and how the dog ended up in Estonia can only be guessed at as Bim himself refuses to disclose the details of his border crossing. The dog was a given a name and identity in the shelter and that was the end of his former life as an incognito vagabond.
Bim is a large, charming and joyful fellow. He loves to play fetch and has excellent leash manners. He is not fond of noisy scooters or bicycles, perhaps due to an unpleasant encounter on his travels. The shelter is helping him with this quirk.
Bim is ready to go to his forever home, but a proper Estonian pet dog must undergo some procedures – vaccination, anti-parasite treatment, neutering. Bim’s fine furry coat is shaggy from his adventures and could use an experienced groomer's touch. This way Bim will feel and look his very best for meeting new friends and a new family. These procedures will cost 250 euros in total.
Please help us make this Latvian boy truly at home in Estonia!
