His foster home noticed that Milos was having trouble breathing. Sometimes it even looked like he was struggling just to catch his breath. We quickly got him to the vet, where they did a full check-up of his mouth and took X-rays of his lungs.
The X-rays showed that Milos could have either pneumonia or asthma. For now, we need to rule out pneumonia, so he’s been started on a course of antibiotics. He’s also getting treatment for possible lung parasites, along with pain relief and anti-inflammatory meds. In two weeks, Milos will go back to the clinic for follow-up X-rays. His further treatment depends on what the new images will show us.
During the check-up, the vet also discovered that Milos’s teeth are in very bad shape. There’s inflammation in his mouth, one of his canines is broken, and he’s already lost several teeth during his time on the streets. Sadly, more teeth will need to be removed. Milos will need a dental procedure called a COHAT, which we can do after his antibiotics are finished.
The dental procedure alone will cost around 500€. Altogether, including his current treatment and follow-up visits, the total cost will be about 750€.
We’re asking for your help. Every donation, big or small, brings Milos closer to a pain-free life and a healthy future.
Thank you for supporting Milos. He deserves a chance to breathe easy and live without pain.
